Sorting/Searching/Recipe Folders

It would be nice to have the ability to sort, search, or categorize recipes into folders, especially when you start to have a lot of recipes.

Hi Chris :)

Thanks for making the post! I think it is a great idea as well. I will talk to my Team about this.

I would add to this the ability to manage recipes from list view (including operations such as Delete/Copy). I have tons of old inactive recipes I'd like to delete. Time-consuming to have to open each one separately.

these are brilliants suggestions, thank you @jheuer for bringing these up.

Dear Phuong Nguyen, what is the status of this request?

Searching for recipe and folders has been implemented!

Allan, one problem with the Folders functionality: After you've filtered your recipes by searching (for example for "Salesforce") it is not possible to drag recipes into folders. Ideally, I'd like to be able to search for all my Quickbase recipes and add them to a Quickbase folder, for example.

Hi Jonathan, you should be able to do this. I just tried it and it worked for me. Possible to take a short video recording to show what you mean?

Here's a video demonstrating issue. Browser is Safari, if that makes a difference.

Hi Jonathan, that's because the recipe is already in the folder. You cannot drag a recipe that is already within the folder into the same folder.

Ah, thanks! Next- is there a way to take bulk actions on these recipes? Like Delete?

Allan Teng

That's a very dangerous feature we are hesitant to implement. Once a recipe is deleted, there is no turning back. But there is no harm creating a topic to gartner support from the community.

Hi Jonathan and all, you may already be aware of this.. While bulk actions are not available, you can start/stop/delete recipes from the home page via the dropdown menu seen below:
