Formula function to clear (blank) fields

Hi.

It would be really useful to be able to clear fields at will. For instance, when certain things happen in JIRA I would like to clear some fields in Zendesk, and vice-versa. But at the moment, I'm making due with using "-" or "N/A" which is not ideal.

Thank you.

There are no comments on this..... is there really no way to update a text field to BLANKS or NULLS?

Hello Carlos and Lori,

Apologies for the delay in response. We have just added a new formula to clear out fields. In formula mode, you can put the word clear. Do try this out and let us know if you encounter issues!

Hi.

Doesn't seem to work with JIRA text fields though :-(

It doesn't trigger an error but it doesn't actually clear the fields' content either.

Was there a solution to this? We are trying the same functionality.

Hi Ramya,

The current workaround to clear fields in JIRA is to use a Custom Action. Then, use a PUT method, set the request body parameters and on the input parameters, set the field to clear using the clear function. See sample below:

I tried using clear, it's definitely not working for me.
