[QuickBooks Online] - Search QuickBooks by ID to avoid duplicates
Would like to see the ability to search Quickbooks by ID (not just display/company name or email) so duplicate records are not created.
If I create an account with a company name of "ABC Ltd." in salesforce and the workato process creates the related account in QB with a company name of "ABC Ltd." they both match and all is fine and both have the UID of, for example, "3". If i change the company name in salesforce or QB to "ABC Inc." or the organization goes through a name change to "XYZ Newco LLC" I now am in a position where Workato can't match my records any longer. However, if the UID is used to search QB records all is fine and no duplicate records are created.
Thanks.

Hi Trevor,
If you want to search for a customer by ID, you can use the action "Get customer details".
"Search" and "Get" are almost identical in function.
The only difference is that "Search" can return 1 or more results which meet the search criteria (i.e multiple users with the same Display name or same email address).
"Get" on the other hand, returns 1 unique result which makes sense since the Customer ID is a unique identifier for a record in Quickbooks.
Hope this helps!
