Hi Shabina,
Are you using trigger filters and setting the "From" field to a past date? Do you also have a large amount of records stored in your application database? These factors could all slowdown the rate at which Workato is able to pick up jobs when you start the recipe for the first time.
When you make a recipe active for the first time, Workato looks for events matching your trigger specifications in the app you are integrating with. If it needs to look through a large amount of records, and on top of that, check whether each record meets your filter conditions, this can take awhile.
Once the recipe has processed jobs, there should not be much lag anymore.
Real-time integration is only available with cloud apps that support webhooks. For these apps, your triggers get processed whenever the event happens. For everything else, Workato polls for new information. The polling interval can be 5 or 10mins, depending on the plan you are on.
You can check the polling interval of our various plans here by selecting View Feature Comparison.

Is there a lag after you make a recipe active?
I noticed that when you start a recipe after any changes - It takes a long time and no action happens. If you refresh - It come back with "No Events Found". Earlier today, I got frustrated and logged out and came back in about 30 mins - I started the recipe again and this time it worked as needed. I want to know what is the lag?
