Some of my recipes stopped. I did not make any changes to the recipes. Why would this happen? Would this cause my recipes to miss picking up trigger events?

Hello Saul,
There can be several reasons why the recipes would be stopped. Some of the things you can check on are:
1. Consecutive errors. This can be either trigger errors or action errors. You should have received an email stating that your recipes were stopped due to consecutive errors, and give details on what the error is.
2. Broken connections. You should check the connected applications and see if they are still connected. Apps may disconnect if there is a change of access rights or credentials in the app.
Don't worry, though! It should not cause your recipes to miss trigger events. The recipe once started again, always picks up where it left off.
