Google Contacts update action does not work with IDs or etags.

Say, searching for a contact by email returns a contact and you want to update it.

To update it, Workato only lets you use an email address as reference. This is deprecated and can create a situation where using that same email address returns an error.

You need to update this to be using the Google People API and use an etag as reference. What is the ETA on this?

Hi RK,

I understand that our Google Contact Update action currently only allows you to update using email addresses.

Engineering is already aware of this and are working on a fix.

As there is a backlog of tasks for them to fix, I won't be able to advise you on the exact ETA for this fix.

In the meantime, i would suggest that you proceed with your recipe creating using out HTTP connector which will allow you to customise the way you would like to interact with the Google Contacts API.
