Quickbooks and Google Sheets - Update Corresponding Value

Hi,

I'd like to have a Google Sheets cell updated based on its item name.

My recipe is set ups as:

1. Scheduler

2. Quickbooks -> get profit and loss

3. Search rows

4. Update rows

My Google Sheet is set up into two columns: A) Accounts B) Totals. Quickbooks lists the item name and the dollar value to the right.

For Action 3 above, "Search rows", I have it search Google Sheets for the item name such as "COGS".

For Action 4, I'd like the Google Sheets column "Totals" to update the dollar value based on the item name to the left of it.

Let's say there are 5 Quickbook items I want - Total Income, Net Income, COGS, Expenses, Payroll and that they all have values of $100, $200,$300, $400, $500 respectively. I essentially want the dollar values to update according to the Quickbooks items.

I'm having trouble with Action 4 where it updates according the the search item. It just updates the value from the first account.

If we weren't limited to 100 update items from the Google Sheets API, I wouldn't need to specify specific Accounts to pull from Quickbooks but because I am limited, I need to select the specific Accounts that I'd like pulled from Quickbooks and have the corresponding dollar values updated.

Can someone help with this? Thank you so much for your time.

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for reaching out! Is it that you have a list accounts from your Quickbooks get action? If so, you will need to use a repeat action to process all items in the list. You can learn more about that here: http://docs.workato.com/recipes/steps.html#repeat-step

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have further questions.
