Diff between recipes and versions of recipes

This would be:

1. Ability to put 2 recipes and mark the differences between them at Steps/App used level.

2. Ability to show the difference between 2 versions of the same recipe.

Use case:
I am new to a client of ours.
I'm now tasked with modifying recipes for a new project that uses recipes in sandbox and production.
I have a sandbox recipe that might be modifed from the production version.
So I have to manually go step by step visually comparing the recipes and of course I never make a mistake so I will catch all differences between those recipes  :-)
Can you dump the recipes into a text format (json or xml etc) so I can use a diff tool of my own choosing?

That way you only need an export function and not have to reinvent the wheel. 
Of course once you export, someone will want import. 
This tool is very nice and slick. Good job creating it.
