I wouldn't go that far to ask a proprietary component such as the BambooHR connector to be open source, but allow us to have a "Custom Action" as we have in many other connectors like Slack.
So the bambooHR connector update is now broken (again) because BambooHR made a change to the Update Employee call. It has been weeks and Workato hasn't been able to get around to fixing it. Making the connectors open source or at least allowing the community to contribute to them would allow the community to correct these types of issues for the benefit of everyone. It would also bring more connectors to the platform which would be a good thing for the business.
Figuring out how to make the connector life cycle better should be something high on the list.

Open Source Existing Connectors
the library of connectors you have is great but many of them are missing triggers or actions. Why not make it so that the community can build on them or make them better? Example - you have a bambooHR connector that works well but is missing lots of functionality that is supported by the BambooHR API. If the connectors where open sources then instead of recreating an entirely new connector to get what we needed out of bambooHR we could build on top of the existing code.
Your library of connectors would improve or even get bigger at a much lower cost.
