Salesforce Error: 400 Bad Request: CANNOT_INSERT_UPDATE_ACTIVATE_ENTITY

Modified on: Tue, Sep 27, 2016 at 9:49 PM

Error: Bad request: 400 Bad Request: [{"message":"entity type cannot be inserted: Campaign","errorCode":"CANNOT_INSERT_UPDATE_ACTIVATE_ENTITY","fields":[]}]

What does this mean?: This error is generated when you have no access to certain objects or fields. For example all versions of Salesforce don't have access to Campaigns, if you try to run a recipe that tries to access, create or update Campaigns, you will get this error.

Resolution: Sometimes the error may be because you are connected to the wrong Salesforce account. Check the connections for your recipe by clicking on the Salesforce icon in the connections section of your recipe. Make sure you are connected to the right one.
