Shopify What is : Abandoned checkouts
When a customer decided to drop off halfway through its purchasing process in your shopfront, Shopify does a kind favor and stores the order as an abandoned checkout. This means that the potential customer's contact information and its cart data is still available for you to process, and maybe perhaps try to round back and close the deal using Workato.
Do note that an abandoned checkout are details provided by the customer during checkout, and does not account, nor will it create, a new customer account in Shopify.
