500 Internal Servor Error before runtime on JIRA recipes

Modified on: Thu, Mar 2, 2017 at 12:15 PM

When trying to "Create Issue" or "Update Issue" using the JIRA connector, you might face an 500 internal server error while configuring this step. The error occurs while trying to select an input in the "Project Issue Type" field.

This error is most likely due to the existence of duplicate fields in your JIRA account.

To troubleshoot this, you will need to remove this duplicate field in JIRA. You can follow the steps indicated in these JIRA articles:

1) https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/createissuemeta-returns-duplicate-key-error-872016885.html

2) https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/creating-issues-in-jira-7-throws-error-multiple-entries-with-same-key-815570970.html

After removing the duplicates, refresh the recipe and schema and the error should be resolved.
