Establishing an Intacct Connection with Workato

Modified on: Wed, Mar 18, 2020 at 2:49 AM

To connect to Intacct on Workato, the requirements are as follows:

  1. Ensure your account is subscribed to Web Services. To add this to your list of subscription products, please contact your account manager at Intacct. You should be provided the associated credentials for an XML Gateway/API Access User
  2. Next, set up a Web Services User in your Intacct instance for the integration access. Set up this user to grant access to your individual company as follows.
    1. Go to Company > Web Services User > Add. Enter User information:
      • User ID: xml_gateway (this will be the login username on Workato's Intacct connector)
      • Last name and First name: use XML Gateway for easy access in the system
      • Email Address: Enter a valid email address
      • User Type: Business
      • Admin Privileges: Full

    2. Modify Subscriptions for the integration user set up and select the relevant permissions for integration access.

  3. Authorize Workato to access Web Services on Intacct
    1. Go to Company > Company Info > Security.
    2. Click on Edit
    3. Under Web Services authorizations, add Workato as follows:

Once done, you are all set to connect the Web Services user with Workato!

NOTE: Make sure to select "Full" for "Admin Privileges" while adding the user. If you select "Limited" as "Admin privileges" for a user, then you will not be able to make the connection, even if the required modules are enabled the user subscription page.

Additionally, if your company uses roles, only full administrators can use the Role feature. Learn more.
