How do I empty / clear / blank out data fields?

I would like to empty / clear / blank out the data fields off their existing values. How can I do that?

To clear out existing values in basic text fields, you can make use of the clear formula in formula mode. Currently, the clear formula is able to empty out values for data fields that do not require specific API calls to delete.
