Input Fields: Fields that are used to map data into/select data

Most actions have input fields and you can find them when you open up an action. Fields come in two general types , a text field, and also a dropdown list. Some input fields allow you to toggle between the two types. Within the text field type, you will see that it comes with many different symbols on the left of the field, such as "ABC" or a phone icon. This indicates the type of data that is usually associated with a field. In this type of input field, you will also be able to input data pills in order to use variable data, and you can use them together with static text as well.

By default when you create a action in Workato you will only be able to see input fields which are required, and you will then be able to choose more fields available to a particular action by clicking on the button "Add/Remove optional fields"

As you can see from the example below, we are dealing with an action to create an Account in Salesforce when a lead is created in Salesforce. We see here that the account name uses the "Company" and "City" pill from the lead, with the addition of a static "-" to separate the two pills.
