Whenever a case is created or updated in Salesforce, create or update a corresponding issue in JIRA.
Conditions can be added to the trigger to execute this issue creation in JIRA only when the case in Salesforce meets certain criteria.
This recipe maintains a link between Salesforce cases and JIRA issues by inserting the Salesforce case number into the JIRA issue's description field.
What this recipe does
Whenever a case is updated or created in Salesforce, this recipe will sync the changes over to Salesforce related Case. This recipe searches for a matching case in Salesforce based on a Syncing Flag
In order to match a specific case to a JIRA issue, a keyword is used to match them. In this case, This recipe will look for the Salesforce Case Number in the JIRA issue description. If a JIRA issue with the Case Number is found, the issue will be updated for its priority. If no JIRA issue is found, a new one will be created, with its description containing the Case Number in it.
From: determine the date from which we should start processing closed priority issues.
Project key: determine which project to create issues under
Issue type: determine which issue type to create the issues as
The project key and issue type parameters are currently set on a recipe level, i.e. all issues will be created in the same project as the same issue type. To create issues under different projects and as different types, use a lookup table in formula mode.
