New or Updated Case Comments in Salesforce to JIRA issue
Conditions can be added to the trigger to execute this Case comments creation in JIRA only when the issue in JIRA meets certain criteria. This can be done with Trigger IF, with an article to assist you on that here
This recipe maintains a link between Salesforce cases and JIRA issues by inserting the JIRA Issue Key into the Salesforce Case description field. The related JIRA issue's description field will also be populated with the Salesforce Case Number.
What this recipe does
Whenever a case comment is updated or created in Salesforce, this recipe will sync the comments over to Salesforce related Case. This recipe searches for a matching case in Salesforce based on a Syncing Flag
Issue comments created by the recipe will contain a Case Comments in its Body. This is used to identify if a current updated Case Comment matches to an existing JIRA issue comment.
JIRA Issue comment
JIRA Issues comments created by this recipe will contain the Case Comment ID in the comment body. This is used for matching any updated Case Comments with a JIRA Issue comments in order to sync the updates. If no matching Issue comment is found, the second condition will be checked : If the number of comments in Salesforce Case and JIRA Issue is unequal. If so, a new issue comment will be created.
The recipe will first search for a Case based on its subject containing the Summary of the JIRA issue. If no matches are found, a new Case will be created in Salesforce, and the issue will be updated with the Salesforce Case Number in the Description field
